Moppitt, our pet cow, we raised her from about 7 days old - after her mother died, has calving paralysis. This happened when the calf presses on a nerve while being born and damages the nerve - this means one of their legs will not work. This happened to Moppitt 2 weeks ago and we have been feeding and watering her every day waiting for the nerve to get better. At the weekend Moppitt moved very close to creek, so we had to move her. We designed a make-shift sling and put it under her and picked her up using the tractor forks. She loved 'floating' through the air. So twice a day Chris goes down and gives her 'floating fun' She eats, drinks, whatever while in this position - but she still hasn't walked! We only need to lift her hind legs now - Chris even takes her for 'walks' - like a wheelbarrow race!!

The dogs and the goats came to see what all the fuss was about!
